Making the songs and music of peoples from past to present ring out, by reconnecting and uniting their breathing, their voices… Musically revisiting our relationship to the universe…
In a circular formation, Mi’kmaq songs and prayers will mingle with Tuvan overtone-singing, melisma and Persian singing. Joining their dialogue will be the ney (end-blown flute), the most ancient and emblematic instrument in Sufi culture, along with frame drums, impassioned setar and kanun, and a prepared viola da gamba, that together will create a sonic environment where both the beauty and the complexity of our world burst forth.
Breathings, a musical experience to remind us of our fragile relationship to the universe and to the fundamental elements of life.
