About Carlos Merino
Carlos Merino hails from Jerez de la Frontera, in Andalusia, and discovered his passion for percussion at the age of 12.
An eclectic and inquisitive musician, he masters a wide range of percussive traditions, from oriental, Brazilian, Latin, and African styles to flamenco.
With his own recording studio, he regularly composes music for dance productions, documentaries, and television commercials.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated both on stage and in the studio with renowned artists such as Miguel Poveda, Israel Fernández, José Mercé, Paco Cepero, Pitingo, Diego del Morao, Antonio Rey, Richard Bona, David Bisbal, Marina Heredia, Joaquín Grilo, El Canijo de Jerez, Vanesa Martín, Chambao, La Moneta, Manuel Liñán, among others.
