ABOUT PARUPALLI PHALGUN
Phalgun, a senior Mridangam artist in the field of Indian Classical Music with a concert experience of over two decades, is a leading performer who features with legendary musicians across many genres of Music as a team member, soloist and also in cross over music projects. Phalgun has numerous contributions to his credit in areas of fingering techniques, creation of interesting and complex rhythm compositions which have redefined the art of Mridangam playing.
Trained by Gurus Radhakrishna Raju and MLN Raju, he hails from a family of legendary musicians from the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. His names appears on scores of CD and DVD recordings and has performed in over 40 countries. He has been a percussionist on Maestro Shashank’s team since 2002.
