ABOUT ELIN SÖDERSTRÖM

Elin Söderström fell under the spell of the viola da gamba at a recital given by Jordi Savall. Driver by her love for the instrument, she completed a bachelor’s degree at McGill University in Montreal, and a graduate diploma at the Royal Conservatory – The Hague with Wieland Kuijken.

Elin has developed a special interest in the repertoire for viol consort. She is a member of the Dutch consort The Spirit of Gamba and of the Voix humaines Consort. An advanced course in Ireland with Sarah Cunningham introduced her to the world of contemporary music and improvisation, a world in which she shines…
