    About Javier Núñez

         Javier Núñez is a highly regarded harpsichordist known for his expressive playing and refined ornamentation. He has appeared as a soloist at major early-music festivals across Europe and performs internationally with leading ensembles such as Accademia del Piacere and L’Estro d’Orfeo. His collaborations include projects with prominent instrumentalists and frequent duo performances with viola da gamba players Fahmi Alqhai and Johanna Rose. He has also been featured as a soloist with orchestras in Spain and Iceland.

       His discography includes recordings for major European broadcasters and labels such as Arcana—featuring his acclaimed solo album Bach Affectus—as well as Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, Carpe Diem, Pan Classics, and others. Born in Seville, he studied at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague with Jacques Ogg, earning the highest distinction, and later taught harpsichord, continuo, and chamber music at the Conservatory of Palma de Mallorca.
